Noah the Musical is beginning its sophomore season in Branson on March 26. The tale of Noah and the Ark is returning in its typical grand fashion, complete with a rotating, 40-foot stage; 3D imaging and pyrotechnics; and a cast that includes over 50 people and animals!

Long-time Branson favorite Shoji Tabuchi will also be returning to the Branson entertainment scene within the next few weeks. Set to open his 2010 season on April 8, this year will mark Shoji’s 21st season of entertaining the Branson area. RFD-TV TheatreThe RFD-TV Theatre in Branson has made 2009 a year of unique and entertaining performances, featuring everything from a live production of High School Musical 2 to the Native American show Brule and American Indian Rock Opera. This theatre has several upcoming limited-engagement performances that are truly once-in-a-lifetime experiences.

Pam Tillis and John Anderson

On October 3, these two country music veterans will take the stage at RFD-TV Theatre for one night. Pam Tillis, the daughter of legend Mel Tillis, is a country star in her own right and has been entertaining audiences with original hits since the 1980s. Some of her most popular songs include “Maybe It Was Memphis” and “Shake The Sugar Tree.” John Anderson is also a country legend who has many hits under his belt. Audiences will enjoy his mellow voice as he sings some of his previous hits, which may include “Seminole Wind” and “Look Away.” This duo will only perform on one night, so do not miss out!

Marty Stewart and Connie Smith

This duo of legendary country artists will take the stage for two weekends in October, the 9-10 and 16-17. Marty Stewart is an iconic performer that has many hits from his decades-long career in country music. Some of his popular songs include “Hillbilly Rock,” “If There Ain’t There Oughtta Be,” and “Too Much Month.” Connie Smith is a seasoned country musician and gospel singer who has also been on the scene for many years. Brule and the American Indian Rock Opera

This show appeared earlier in the summer and was so popular that it was brought back for a limited time in November. This show is available during the first two weeks of November. Noah the Musical

Only in its second season, Noah the Musical at Sight and Sound Theater has become one of Branson’s most popular and must-see shows. This spectacular show features live animals and a musical interpretation of the famous biblical story of Noah and the Ark. The Sight and Sound Theatre features a state-of-the-art stage with sets that reach up to 40 feet in height. Other stage effects include pyrotechnics, lasers, and video imaging. Although you may be familiar with the story of Noah, you surely have never seen it presented like this. Noah the Musical runs until October 17, and it has not been confirmed that it is returning to Branson.

Andy Williams’ All-Star Variety Show

After a summer-long hiatus in which he wrote his memoir, the legendary performer Andy Williams has returned to the Branson 76 strip with a classic All-Star Variety Show. This performance runs until September 30. Featuring the style of classic variety shows, this performance features a variety of performers and acts, including Andy Williams, the Warnocks, Aliona and Pasha, Williams Brothers tap-dancing duo, Joe Trammel, Tom Mullica, and Dean Church. This is a truly one-of-a-kind performance that offers something for everyone, and your last chance to see it is quickly approaching.

Righteous Brothers’ Bill Medley and Paul Revere and the Raiders

This engaging act has spent the summer at Andy Williams’ Moon River Theatre. This show’s final performance will be October 24, but the show is available at 7 p.m. Monday through Saturday starting October 1. This show features Bill Medley and Paul Revere and the Raiders performing their classic songs. Medley performs Righteous Brothers hits such as “Unchained Melody” and “You’ve Lost that Loving Feeling.” Those who grew up in the 50s and 60s will feel as though they have been transported back to their youth as they enjoy these classic songs from that era, brought to them by the performers who made them famous.

Silver Dollar City Celebrates Fall with Harvest Festival

Silver Dollar CityVisitors to Silver Dollar City can always count on a good time whenever they go. Fall is no different as Silver Dollar City welcomes visitors to celebrate the harvest in the Ozarks. The National Harvest Festival begins on September 12 and runs to October 31.

This festival will feature various events throughout its stay. In September, visitors can enjoy learning about the American Cowgirl. The Salute to the American Cowgirl takes place September 12 through 27 and includes the All-American Cowgirl Chicks, Buck Taylor, the Doubleday Cowgirl Photographic Collection, and Cowgirl Artists.

The next phase of the National Harvest Festival is the Best of Missouri Showcase, happening September 30 to October 31. This special focus brings the best of Missouri artists and craftsman to the spotlight, including famous Missourians like Harry S. Truman, Payne Stewart, Thomas Hart Benton, and Laura Ingalls Wilder. The World Bird Sanctuary will be on hand with native Missouri birds, and other features of this part of the festival include Missouri craftsmen, Missouri’s Largest Barn Dance, and Civil War reenactors.

Throughout the entire run of the festival, hundreds of craftsmen will be on hand with displays, booths, and more featuring crafts, woodwork, jewelry making, textiles, painting, and more. Although this festival has plenty for you to see, there is also plenty to eat. Different Silver Dollar City eateries will be offering special Taste of America menus that feature regional favorites from all over the country. You will be able to find dishes like traditional barbecue ribs, Southwestern tacos, and delicious regional desserts.

In addition to all of these special events, you will also find all of the great year round attractions at Silver Dollar City, including the rides, roller coasters, shows, and shopping that entertain visitors of all ages and backgrounds.

Lee Greenwood and the Bellamy BrothersEven though Branson has over a hundred show and activity options, new shows still come to the Ozarks every season. Two of our newest offerings include Lee Greenwood and the Bellamy Brothers and Mike Walker & Friends. Both shows offer entertaining performances by talented musicians that offer fun for the whole family.

Lee Greenwood and the Bellamy Brothers

Two classic country legends take the stage in this show at the Welk Resort Theatre. This performance is available for a limited time in September and October, and the show debuts on September 14. Lee Greenwood originated America’s most popular patriotic song, “God Bless the USA.” He also has received two CMA Male Vocalist of the Year awards, an ACM Top Male Vocalist Award, and a Grammy for Top Male Vocal Performance. Greenwood continues to add to his legendary career with his new single, “Why Lie.”

The Bellamy Brothers are another classic country act. This group has had more than 12 number one singles in their career, including the hits “Redneck Girl” and “Let Your Love Flow.” The Bellamy Brother’s latest single is “Guilty of the Crime,” a collaboration with the Bacon Brothers. Either act would be an amazing performance on its own, but the combination is sure to make an unforgettable show full of classic country hits for a memorable night.

Mike Walker & Friends

Taking place at God and Country Theatre, this show features a world-renowned music impressionist. Mike Walker can impersonate over fifty musicians, including Willie Nelson, Conway Twitty, Bon Jovi, and Journey. Walker has succeeded impersonating musicians in almost every genre of music, and you can see his talent live on stage during his show. In addition to bringing you the hits of others, Walker also performs his original songs.
