This year the Museum Mile is being generous yet again by hosting the 32nd Annual Museums on the Mile Festival in New York City, NY. The event takes place on 5th Avenue on June 8th from 6:00 am to 9:00 pm. For the entire day, 5th Avenue is blocked off so visitors and New Yorkers can celebrate art and history at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the Guggenheim, Museum of the City of New York, and four other museums. The New York City Marathon is an incredible event in New York City, NY that has taken place since 1970. The marathon is a little over 26 miles long and crosses all 5 boroughs of New York City. Over 35, 000 people participate every year from all over the world. This event isn’t just for the runners though. Before and after the race, there are parties, banquets, and expos to entertain people all over the city in anticipation of and celebration of the marathon. The marathon itself takes place on March 21st.
