If you’ve been following our blog then you know there is a new attraction coming to Branson! The Branson Zipline is a one-of-a-kind attraction that is currently under construction in the Ozark mountains. If you didn’t know about this incredible addition to the Branson entertainment scene, then you’re sure in for a treat.

Construction on the Branson Zipline began on December 1 and is scheduled for completion in the spring of 2010. Currently, the platforms are being fabricated but the inclement weather has slowed the progress of the construction crew. So what’s the good news? Installation on the mailbox is complete!

Vacations Made Easy will be the premier company offering tours and activities for the Branson Zipline once it opens in early 2010. We already have the tour set up and ready, we’re just waiting for the go-ahead from Branson Zipline. The Branson Zipline and Canopy Tour will be a 2.5 hour eco-tour that shows visitors the best of the Ozark Mountain landscape while providing interesting information about the local ecosystem. Be warned, this is an adventure tour to the core. Those partaking in the tour will be zipping down lines and cables (hence the name zip-line) through the forests surrounding Branson.

If you want to check out the tour, or read more about what to expect from the Branson Zipline, the activity page on our website!

Branson, MO

Beginning in Branson, Silver Dollar City will be paying homage to home state literary hero and providing its guests with yet another way to experience the culture of the Ozarks through interactive fun with Tom & Huck’s River Blast. The initial concept for this unique ride attraction features guests armed with water guns taking a leisurely raft ride as they battle other guests armed with water guns positioned at numerous points along the ride with various other water-themed activities featured near the ride. The ride is still in construction, but even the concept alone sounds more than promising.

Those looking for something entirely new to do in the Branson area will find another adventurous option in Branson Zipline and Canopy Tours. As the first attraction of its kind in Branson, this unique ecological attraction is shaping up to set the bar in terms of outdoor Branson activity. Set to open in the spring of 2010, Branson Zipline and Canopy Tours will offer a thrilling zipline experience over the Ozarks hills while simultaneously providing interesting ecological information on the area flora and fauna.

Lancaster, PA

In Lancaster, the popular Sight & Sound Theatre will be presenting an all new play to area visitors: Joseph. This exciting re-telling of Joseph and the coat of many colors looks to present this classic tale as only Sight & Sound can with massive casts, intricate set design, vivid costumes and special effects bringing the story to life!

Nashville, TN

Music City visitors can expect an extension on some of the already great events and attractions previously featured in Nashville, offering guests a second chance to experience the heart and soul of country music. In particular, we are talking about the Country Music Hall of Fame and the unbelievably successful CMA Music Festival Fan Fair.

At the Country Music Hall of Fame, they have extended the special exhibit Family Traditions: The Williams Family Legacy to run through the entirety of 2010, keeping the talents and tales of the legendary Williams Family alive in well in the memories of country music fans.

As for the CMA Music Festival Fan Fair, it will provide a showcase for country legends, current super stars and rising talent, and is annually considered the single greatest country music festival in the world.

Whether hoping to experience some of the hottest annual celebrations in the nation or wanting an entirely new experience, these popular ideas should provide great starting points for planning a refreshing getaway in 2010!

Visit Nashville’s First And Only Winery

Belle Meade PlantationIf you’ve ever visited the Belle Meade Plantation, you know that this historic home should not be missed. And now there is one more reason you should visit the Belle Meade Plantation. On November 16, the Plantation is opening the doors to The Winery at Belle Meade Plantation!

The city of Nashville has never played home to a winery until now. The Belle Meade Plantation is the first to consider opening one and they faced one major problem. Where do they grow the grapes? The answer was found just south of Columbia in Hampshire, Tennessee. Once Belle Meade Plantation secured land for the grapes, they contracted Brian Hamm, a talented wine-maker from the Keg Springs Winery, to guide the crafting of the Belle Meade Plantation vino.

The Plantation has made a promise to support local farming in their endeavor by buying predominantly Tennessee-grown grapes. However, representatives will occasionally make pilgrimages to the wine country of California to purchase grapes for Cagernet Sauvignons and Rieslings.

Not only will the Plantation feature special wines, crafted specifically for Belle Meade, they have added a Wine Tasting Room. No construction was used to add the wine room because it was adapted from the current structure. Guests will be able to sample some of the amazing wine before carting bottles back home.

The Winery at Belle Meade Plantation will offer wine tastings seven days a week, beginning at the time of the Grand Opening on November 16. The Grand Opening will be happening at the Belle Meade Plantation from 4 PM until 6 PM.

You don’t want to miss this once-in-a-lifetime chance to visit Nashville’s first and only winery! Plan a trip to Nashville, complete with a stop at Belle Meade Plantation!
