National Harvest Festival Gives Branson a Beautiful Start to Fall

There’s no better place to be during the fall than Branson’s theme park Silver Dollar City. From September 11th to October 30th, Silver Dollar City will have out its colorful fall decorations and has planned numerous activities for the National Harvest Festival. This festival features delicious food, craft workshops, and the exciting rides and shows that first made Silver Dollar City famous. You won’t want miss the excitement and fun of the National Harvest Festival at this 1800s themed park!

Silver Dollar City isn’t the only exciting place you will want to visit while you’re in Branson. You will also need to see some of the shows that made Branson famous. Make sure you don’t miss the popular Shoji Tabuchi Show. The show features the incredible, versatile violinist Shoji and his musically gifted wife and daughter. Everything from classical to 60s music is played in this diverse show for an entertaining evening that is designed to dazzle you.

If you’re looking for a dinner and show combination to enjoy while you’re in town, look no further than Dolly Parton’s Dixie Stampede Dinner and Show. This show serves up delicious, home-style Southern foods like rotisserie chicken, creamy vegetable soup, and herb-baked potatoes while you watch an action-packed show. 32 horses and their trick riders will compete against each other in many challenges while you cheer on your side. With everything from racing pigs to singing and dancing, this show is a Branson classic that you will fall in love with.

Silver Dollar City Celebrates Fall with Harvest Festival

Silver Dollar CityVisitors to Silver Dollar City can always count on a good time whenever they go. Fall is no different as Silver Dollar City welcomes visitors to celebrate the harvest in the Ozarks. The National Harvest Festival begins on September 12 and runs to October 31.

This festival will feature various events throughout its stay. In September, visitors can enjoy learning about the American Cowgirl. The Salute to the American Cowgirl takes place September 12 through 27 and includes the All-American Cowgirl Chicks, Buck Taylor, the Doubleday Cowgirl Photographic Collection, and Cowgirl Artists.

The next phase of the National Harvest Festival is the Best of Missouri Showcase, happening September 30 to October 31. This special focus brings the best of Missouri artists and craftsman to the spotlight, including famous Missourians like Harry S. Truman, Payne Stewart, Thomas Hart Benton, and Laura Ingalls Wilder. The World Bird Sanctuary will be on hand with native Missouri birds, and other features of this part of the festival include Missouri craftsmen, Missouri’s Largest Barn Dance, and Civil War reenactors.

Throughout the entire run of the festival, hundreds of craftsmen will be on hand with displays, booths, and more featuring crafts, woodwork, jewelry making, textiles, painting, and more. Although this festival has plenty for you to see, there is also plenty to eat. Different Silver Dollar City eateries will be offering special Taste of America menus that feature regional favorites from all over the country. You will be able to find dishes like traditional barbecue ribs, Southwestern tacos, and delicious regional desserts.

In addition to all of these special events, you will also find all of the great year round attractions at Silver Dollar City, including the rides, roller coasters, shows, and shopping that entertain visitors of all ages and backgrounds.
