This festival represents over 40 different cultural groups at the Institute of Texan Cultures. Food, music, dance, arts, and crafts from each culture are a part of the festival for you to experience. It’s a great way to learn about other cultures in a completely free and fun loving atmosphere.

The International Children’s Festival brings Vancouver, BC to life with its exciting activities and events. This year, the event takes place on Beatty Street from May17th to the 24th. Acrobats, theaters, dancers, and musicians come to the city to entertain children and adults alike. In the past, there have even been children’s artists and authors at the event. You can’t help but get caught up in the enthusiasm and excitement of the festivities.

For more family-friendly fun outside of the children’s festival, go on the Victoria Bus Tour and Whale Watching Cruise from Vancouver. The bus tour portion of the activity will take you by some of the exciting cultural and historic sites of the city like Empress Hotel, BC legislature building, and Royal BC Museum before stopping at the glorious Vancouver harbor. While the holiday is not a government mandated holiday, it is voluntarily celebrated by citizens in the United States and areas of Mexico every year.  The event will take place in Market Square with delicious Tex-Mex food for you to enjoy as well as arts and crafts from Mexico. You will love exploring the vendor’s stands and finding the perfect souvenirs to take home with you.

While you’re in San Antonio for this cultural celebration, see the Spanish influence on the city with the Rio San Antonio River Walk Cruises.  The city is full of beautiful architecture and history that joins two separate cultures to create a city that is as unique as it is fascinating to explore.
