This late September, from the 20st through the 21st, San Antonio’s Travis Park will be hosting Jazz’SAlive festival. This annual event offers locals and visitors alike three days of varying jazz. And while the Gala event on Friday and Champagne Brunch on Sunday do require tickets, the outdoor performances in Travis Park on Saturday and Sunday are free to the public. A mixture of both local and national acts is set for the event. Past acts of the Jazz’SAlive festival have included such notable names as Lara & Reyes, Bobby Caldwell and Wayne Shorter.

Just a couple streets southwest of Travis Park visitors will find The Alamo, though if you’re looking for a complete glance into the mission history of San Antonio you’ll definitely want to look into the Highlights Tour. Along this informative view of San Antonio you’ll travel to a number of missions including Mission Conception, Mission San Jose, San Fernando Cathedral and, of course, the Alamo. Along the journey your knowledgeable tour guide will add depth to the experience by offering unique insight into the various missions and buildings visited.
