The Southern Brewer’s Festival Returns Once Again to Chattanooga, TN

This August 23rd, for one day only, Chattanooga will play host to the entire south as the Southern Brewer’s Festival comes to town. Held on the waterfront in downtown Chattanooga, the day will feature live music from the likes of The Randall Bramblett Band, Sterchi Brothers, Pat McLaughlin and more. Of course, the main draw will be the brews of the 15 brewing companies that will be on hand. Whether you’re a connoisseur of fine beer or are simply looking for a celebration, Chattanooga’s Southern Brewer’s Festival is guaranteed to be a lively time.

While the Southern Brewer’s Festival is an excellent look at the range of breweries throughout the South, it won’t provide much insight into Chattanooga itself. Thankfully, visitors can immerse themselves in the beauty of the area through a number of activities including rafting. The Ocoee River is a veritable hotbed for outdoor enthusiasts, featuring rapids that range from level 3 to 5. Of course, with a knowledgeable guide at your side throughout the experience, even novice rafters can enjoy the thrills and beauty of the Ocoee River with a rafting experience.

If you’re not quite up for the level of activity that rafting demands, then perhaps a visit to the underworld of Chattanooga is more in order? Chattanooga’s Crystal Palace Cave provides just the opportunity with over a quarter-mile trail that can offer astounding sights. Stalactites, stalagmites, fossils and numerous other geographical formations are featured along the tour for a time of sightseeing that you don’t experience everyday.

Visitors will find 1,800 acres of natural habitats playing host to more than 400 different species for an interesting look into wildlife around the world. Settings that include deserts, wetlands, savannas and more have been meticulously recreated within the park with a variety of animals roaming freely and intermingling with one another. Thrill rides, live shows, amazing oceanic exhibits and much more are showcased at the popular theme park for an experience that the entire family can enjoy. Shamu and his whale buddies may steal the spotlight, but you’ll also find a wide variety of eels, sharks, penguins and many other interesting species of marine life. If the family is having trouble agreeing on activities during your stay in San Diego, then experience a little of everything with a visit to SeaWorld.
