My first visit to Graceland was back in 1982 for my 17th birthday present. For anyone visiting Memphis, whether you're an Elvis fan or not, I highly recommend the Sun Studio tour -- I do it every time I go to Memphis, and it always gives me a chill. If you have the time, it's nice to take the trip south to Tupelo, MS to where Elvis was born and lived before his family moved to Memphis. Whenever someone new comes to Memphis w/us I always make sure to include Sun Studio and Tupelo -- in addition to Graceland, of course -- to get the full "experience". I've been to Memphis at Christmas and his b-day celebration...been in the spring...and been during Elvis Week. I have to say, I believe you get the real idea of the impact that Elvis has had on the world by visiting during Elvis Week in August. As for the "Elvis Experience" - If you're not already a fan, I promise you, you'll leave a fan of this wonderful man and his unbelievable talent! I’ve been a huge Elvis fan since I was 7 years old.
