Easter Parade Makes New York City, NY a Colorful Vacation Spot
If you want to see a parade that pre-dates the typical parades with floats and marching bands, then visit New York City for an Easter Parade on April 4th that will be unlike any other you’ve ever experienced. The parade started in the 1800s when New York’s elite would walk around town in their finest Easter clothes after church on Sunday, and as time went on, the costumes and bonnets became more elaborate and colorful. It’s a day of extremes where no bonnet can be too colorful and no costume to lavish. Come and see New York at its most colorful.
If you’re interested in other Sunday activities, the Harlem on Sunday Tour and Gospel Service promises to be a cultural experience that takes you on a 4 hour tour of Harlem. You will be treated to a beautiful Harlem service with a Baptist congregation afterward. If you’re unavailable on Sunday, a Wednesday experience might fit better into your schedule. The Harlem Gospel on WednesdayExperience takes place on Wednesay and gives a similar and enlightening experience.
If you want to learn more about the history and different cultures in New York, the Rapper’s Row – The Queens Hip Hop Tour is one cultural tour that offers you a unique view of New York City. On this tour, you will learn about the way hip hop grew and became popular in New York, and the journey of how the industry progressed. This tour is great for anyone who is a fan of hip hop or for those who just love to learn about music.

I would love to go back and finish my experience in New York with a parade such as this!
