The New York City Marathon is an incredible event in New York City, NY that has taken place since 1970. The marathon is a little over 26 miles long and crosses all 5 boroughs of New York City. Over 35, 000 people participate every year from all over the world. This event isn’t just for the runners though. Before and after the race, there are parties, banquets, and expos to entertain people all over the city in anticipation of and celebration of the marathon. The marathon itself takes place on March 21st.

While you’re in New York City for the marathon, you should really get a tour of the city. You might be interested in a day tour such as one of the New York City Helicopter Tours to see what the city has to offer by daylight. These tours take you high above the city, and give you a clear view of the sights such as the Chrysler Building and Central Park.

Don’t forget New York City at night though as it has just as much to offer at night as it does during the day. There are great night tours such as the New York See the Lights! tour which shows the cities various attractions at night. It’s an unforgettable tour you will be glad you didn’t miss.

After touring the city and getting to see some of the highlights of the city, you may be interested in going into some of the more popular venues. For example, the Empire State Building Observatory is one venue you will want to see more of. No one can go to New York City without visiting the observatory. It’s such a popular city spot that it has even been featured in movies. Don’t miss out on getting to see everything in the fantastic city of New York.
