Whistler Blackcomb Resort

British Columbia is well regarded for its renowned ski resorts, so it should come as no surprise that the Whistler area would fall in line and present travelers a world class time on the slopes of the Whistler and Blackcomb Mountains. In 1997, the resorts of Whistler and Blackcomb combined to form the Whistler-Blackcomb Mountain Resort, with the mega resort having since gained constant praise as one of the top North American ski resorts from reputable publications including Skiing Magazine, TransWorld SNOWboarding, and Ski Magazine. Along with the many accolades, the conglomeration also helped transform Whistler-Blackomb into the largest ski resort in North America with over 8,000 skiable acres!

Visitors will find a wide range of skiing and snowboarding options offered, presenting a challenge for nearly every skill and preference. In total, over 200 groomed trails are featured, with roughly 20% considered beginner, 55% intermediate, and 25% advanced. In addition to varying skill levels, visitors will also find variety through five terrain parks, one super pipe, and one cross country trail. And for those visiting with non-skiers, there are a wealth of shopping and dining options, as well as general activities, spread across the two mountains.

With so much to experience throughout Whistler-Blackcomb it’s difficult to make the resort a one-day destination, though for those looking to plan a complete vacation to the area the Whistler-Blackcomb Ski Vacation is an easy way to plan your visit complete with lift tickets and lodging. In particular, the Whistler-Blackcomb Ski Vacation couples your choice of three, four, five, or six-day lift tickets with your choice of area lodging. As for lodging, you’ll find everything from the encompassing Hilton Whistler Resort & Spa to the cozy Delta Whistler Village Suites located directly within Whistler Village.

Whether you’re looking for quality or quantity in terms of this year’s ski vacation, Whistler-Blackcomb can provide both for a ski vacation without compromise!
