Ocean Forest PlazaThe holidays are a special time of the year. But when the holidays end it’s time to have some fun. Immediately following the hectic holiday season is New Year’s Eve. If you are planning on visiting Myrtle Beach over Christmas, you should definitely consider sticking around through the New Year’s celebration.

There will be a lot going on in Myrtle Beach over New Year’s Eve. There will be a family-friendly celebration at the Children’s Museum of South Carolina during the day with a ‘ball drop’ at noon. For the adults, there will be a huge celebration at Celebrity Square beginning at 7 PM. You must be 18 to attend and 21 to drink. Just a heads up, there is a one-time cover charge for this event. The highlight of the evening will be the fireworks over Lake Broadway.

If you are planning to join the festivities, you’ll want a hotel that will keep you close to the hot spots. There are three hotels within minutes of both locations. The Best Western Carolinian Beach Resort is one of the closest. This great hotel will entertain the family with the pools and lazy river, while allowing you to relax in a great room. Two more close hotels are the Ocean Forest Plaza Beachfront and the Kingston Plantation Condos.

If you are still not sure about a hotel in the Myrtle Beach area for your New Year’s Eve celebrations, browse the many hotels available and find the perfect one for your stay!
