Each winter, Gatlinburg puts on a magical display to match the cheer and festivity of the area, and this winter is certainly no exception. However, with February quickly approaching you’ll only have one month left to take in the down-home hospitality and winter wonder that comes to the forefront during Gatlinburg’s Winter Magic. Set to run until February 29, Winter Magic offers a sparkling display of joy. In total, more than three million lights blanket the Gatlinburg area during Winter Magic, with displays featured throughout town.

Of course, there are more than just light displays to explore while visiting Gatlinburg during the winter season.

For example, the Black Bear Jamboree Dinner & Show offers an encompassing time of entertainment through a live show performance and delectable dining for a time the entire family can enjoy. You’ll find a high-energy, Broadway-style performance with a distinct Smoky Mountains touch. Bluegrass, country, gospel and more will be covered throughout the performance, showcasing the many regional music styles of the Tennessee area. Additionally, your time of dining will offer an authentic look at Tennessee dining, complete with southern style chicken, hickory pit barbecue ribs and a variety of down-home side dishes.

Another way to enjoy your meal in a setting completely unique to the Smokies is with a Picnic Carriage Ride. Both Picnic Carriage Rides for 2 and Picnic Carriage Rides for 4 are offered, so whether you’re traveling with the entire family or it is just you and that special someone, you’ll find the perfect setting. Along the ride you’ll take in the countryside of the Gatlinburg area, experiencing breathtaking views of the Smoky Mountains. Additionally, you’ll be able to enjoy a prepared picnic lunch in the middle of a charming meadow for an experience that can completely immerse you in the nature of the area.

Don’t let the magic pass, be sure to get out to Gatlinburg before February, and Winter Magic, are over! From the sights completely unique to the festival to the general happenings in the Gatlinburg area, you’re sure to find a memorable experience waiting.
