Mid-South Fair in Memphis Fall is the time for state and county fairs, and the Mid-South Fair in Desoto County near Memphis one of the oldest of its kind in the United States. Now in its 153rd year, the fair continues to draw hundreds of thousands of visitors.

This year’s event will take place September 25 through October 4 at the DeSoto Civic Center in Southaven, Mississippi. The fair is open from noon to 10 p.m. each day. The fair features a classic Midway, live performances, an exhibition hall, food vendors, and more. The highlight of this year’s fair is an evening performance by country superstar Martina McBride, who will be performing on September 27. Also, the annual Rodeo of the Mid-South PRCA event will take place October 1 through 3, featuring bull riders, wrestlers, ropers, and more.

The Midway is open each day and features rides for every age group and thrill level. Kids will also find plenty to entertain them throughout the fair, from pint-size rides on the Midway to a petting zoo. Of course, visitors will also be able to find a range of food vendors available at every corner to satisfy their stomachs and sweet tooths. Other features of the fair include the livestock show, a beauty pageant, and other contests.

Although this fair is a great attraction that offers fun for the whole family, it is also a unique piece of history that reflects the development of Memphis and the surrounding area. Even Elvis Presley loved this fair!
