Visitors to Silver Dollar City can always count on a good time whenever they go. Fall is no different as Silver Dollar City welcomes visitors to celebrate the harvest in the Ozarks. The National Harvest Festival begins on September 12 and runs to October 31.
This festival will feature various events throughout its stay. In September, visitors can enjoy learning about the American Cowgirl. The Salute to the American Cowgirl takes place September 12 through 27 and includes the All-American Cowgirl Chicks, Buck Taylor, the Doubleday Cowgirl Photographic Collection, and Cowgirl Artists.
The next phase of the National Harvest Festival is the Best of Missouri Showcase, happening September 30 to October 31. This special focus brings the best of Missouri artists and craftsman to the spotlight, including famous Missourians like Harry S. Truman, Payne Stewart, Thomas Hart Benton, and Laura Ingalls Wilder. The World Bird Sanctuary will be on hand with native Missouri birds, and other features of this part of the festival include Missouri craftsmen, Missouri’s Largest Barn Dance, and Civil War reenactors.
Throughout the entire run of the festival, hundreds of craftsmen will be on hand with displays, booths, and more featuring crafts, woodwork, jewelry making, textiles, painting, and more. Although this festival has plenty for you to see, there is also plenty to eat. Different Silver Dollar City eateries will be offering special Taste of America menus that feature regional favorites from all over the country. You will be able to find dishes like traditional barbecue ribs, Southwestern tacos, and delicious regional desserts.
In addition to all of these special events, you will also find all of the great year round attractions at Silver Dollar City, including the rides, roller coasters, shows, and shopping that entertain visitors of all ages and backgrounds.
