Beach, Boogie & BBQ Festival in Myrtle Beach

At the end of August, get ready for the Beach, Boogie & BBQ Festival in Myrtle Beach. This event will take place at Grand Park in the Market Common from August 31 through September 2. Live entertainment, demonstrations, beer gardens, fireworks and food are all in attendance, and you should be, too!

Everyone will love all of the free music events throughout the weekend. Enjoy the sounds of The Fantastic Shakers, the “South’s Finest Show Band,” as they take to the stage at 8:00 p.m. on Saturday night. The Fantastic Shakers have called the Grand Strand their summertime home. They’ve performed over 6,000 times, from New York to Florida, and along the Southeast. Their song “Myrtle Beach Days” skyrocketed them into the top of the Carolina’s musical groups. After the show, the fireworks spectacle will light the night sky up.

Sunday brings in one of the largest variety of wings you have ever seen. The main stage will continue to play music, as you lick your lips in anticipation of the delicious sauces and meat. Sunday is the day of the Wing-Off competition, where various teams will compete for the ultimate prize.

On Friday, the Anything Goes contest and tasting takes place, while, on Saturday, the Official S.C. Barbeque Championship and the Kansas City Barbeque Society Cook-Off get the good times rolling.

Also available throughout the event is a kids zone, as well as art and craft vendors, wake board demonstrations and beer gardens. Admission into the event is free, and most activities are complimentary as well. This is one festival you will not want to miss. It starts Friday, August 31 at 6:00 p.m. and lasts until Sunday at 5.
