While the mention of Myrtle Beach may bring to mind an expanse of endless, lush golf courses and sandy beach settings, there’s also a strong sense of live entertainment in the area to add much needed excitement to the relaxing setting that is Myrtle Beach. In particular, the area is home to two of the nation’s most popular dinner show attractions - Medieval Times Dinner & Tournament and Dolly Parton’s Dixie Stampede. And whether you’d prefer to travel back in time to explore the Civil War or push even further into the days of the renaissance, there’s sure to be a fanciful, entertainment setting to cap off your Myrtle Beach vacation.

Dolly Parton’s Dixie Stampede

Equestrian arts are put at the forefront of Dixie Stampede as 32 horses take center-stage to star in this impressive dinner show. At the beginning of the night the crowd is separated into two groups: one side cheering for the North and the other for the South. After the initial introduction, a variety of competitions including horse racing and ostrich racing take place as the North and South battle it out and you, the spectator, dine on a down home feast. Along with the intense time of competition, guests will also find interludes of song, dance and comedy to help keep the night ever lively.

Medieval Times Dinner & Tournament

With Medieval Times you’ll be transported back to a time of shining knights, charming princesses, stoic wizards and benevolent kings. Throughout the evening six knights will compete for the hand of the princess and glory as the crowd cheers on the respective knight. During the course of the tournament, guests will be treated to a kingly four-course meal for a complete time of dining and entertainment. From jousting matches to full-on hand-to-hand combat, excitement will be at the forefront.
